Addison
(OOC: Addison has to stay in the domicile during the event for the beast, so I figured he could have his own thread in case others were staying as well. Figured it could start before the event though. He is giving himself a "me" weekend of movies and the like.)
Addison fished his custom door plate out from his bag. He'd had this custom made for him, in dark cherry wood with black lettering spelling out his name. He liked the computerized aspects of his entry ok, but felt he could use something that made it feel more like...a place where he lived versus slept. The red head pulled his hair back into a ponytail before setting about the task of affixing the name plate to his door securely. No where in the rules did it say it wasn't allowed....
There....Addison stood back, in the middle of the hallway to admire his work. Perfectly straight and it looked good on his door. Addison pulled one foot out of his slipper to tug down the other pant leg. He was no carpenter, but simple tasks were a-ok.
(OOC: Feel free to say howdy. He's out in his slippers and jeans and a shirt in the middle of the hall right now)
Ellis Duban
'Carol's going to have a massive bovine when she see's this, dearest.'
She had quietly made her way down the hallway to where Addison was admiring his handy work. One thing she never used and probably should was her blending. She always forgot she had that ability. She needed to use it more often.
Ellis looked at the handsome man and opened up her arms for an embrace. 'Come, give us a hug and kiss.'
Addison
'Carol's going to have a massive bovine when she see's this, dearest.'
Blue eyes snapped over and flashed a slightly guilty look at Ellis. He looked back at the flowing font that spelled out his name and studied it for a second longer. "It's lovely though and I rather like it. Do you really think she'll object to a name plate?"
It was a possibility he supposed. But carol seemed to like the pretty things too.
'Come, give us a hug and kiss.'
Without thought, Addison immediately folded himself into Carol's arms. He considered himself damn lucky to be familiar to Ellis and pressed his lips to hers quickly before he could change his mind. He wasn't sure if that's what she'd meant or if she was just looking for a "sip," as he was deciding to call it.
Ellis Duban
She ran her fingers through his red hair and smiled into his kiss. Such a good boy. Ellis enjoyed the kiss and when it ended, she pulled back to murmur, 'I think it's a beautiful nameplate. I'm sure Carol will think so too.' She looked at the steel shavings and smirked. No, she was going to have a cow.
She touched her tongue to a fang and pinched Addison's cheek. 'I've been reprimanded for not sealing our bond.' Ellis gave him a reasonably believable sheepish grin. 'Going to invite me in?'
Addison
'Sealing the bond?' Addison was confused. He'd thought that by the first bite thing that was the seal...apparently he hadn't asked the right questions of Carol. He bit his lip, flushing as he thought of being bitten again...wondering if it felt the same the second time.
Surely she didn't need to be invited? Wasn't this all technically hers? "Oh...pardon my manners. Please..." Addison opened the door for Ellis, picking up the power tool as he held the entrance way open. The power drill was left on the table just inside the door and Addison flicked on the lights to light the way in to the living room.
"Would you...ah...like something to drink?" His eyes widened as he saw his laptop left carelesly on the coffeetable and a blanket out of place. "Pardon the mess...I wasn't expecting anyone about."
Ellis Duban
Ellis walked in, admiring the decor as she slipped off her jacket and laid it on the couch in the living room. She plopped down onto the furniture and threw her arms over the back. She was wearing a thin mesh blouse that left little for the imagination. It was, in fact, a body suit that was tucked into a pair of low slung leather pants. She passed on the buckled boots and wore a pair of stilettos.
Ellis watched as Addison attempted to straighten up. 'Don't bother dear. I don't mind.' She reached over and tapped the spot next to her on the couch. 'Have a seat and tell me how are things?'
She felt her fangs tingle slightly. It had been a little while since she had fed and she was due for a sip, so to speak. Addison would do nicely.
Addison
Ellis looked right at home and Addison was pleased that his choice in how to decorate his niche was pleasing. He slid upside the Tach leader and tucked his slipper clad feet up underneath his body. "Mainly just work, so I won't bother you with that. But I did meet a very nice young man before the ball...Nic, you met him...he acted rather squirrly at the party and I haven't heard from him sence. I'm starting to think I scare people off." Addison didn't know what to think. First the guy was very very friendly then he ran off. And it couldn't be the gender thing as if that was a problem, he wouldn't have...have. Addison blushed, thinking about it. "But no matter. I have been busy overhauling several departments and getting their finances back on track. No time for socializing."
He paused, before asking about Ellis. What did vampires do in their free time? He could ask now or wait and watch the scores of Vampire movies he'd rented from the store. The clerk must have thought him either 1) obsessed or 2) writing a term paper on Vampires. "This new event keeping you busy?" Addison had read something about it...this beast thing. "And do you want me to find some way to get insurance on...that which you will re-aquire?"
Ellis Duban
'Riiight, your Nicholae friend,' Ellis took a manicured nail and tapped her fang in thought. 'I'd be very interested to know where you met him, he left in such a hurry...makes me wonder just who his...affiliations are.' She had a very secure feeling that Nic was a vampire. Why else would he fun off after meeting Ellis? She looked back at Addison, sweet, adorable and cute Addison.
'Did he...have his way with you?' She dismissed his question about the raid, the humans didn't need to know the details of it and she'd rather her new one didn't pry. She'd have to teach him not to be so nosy, so she took the direct route and ignored his inquisitiveness.
Addison
"Affiliations...?"
Addison blinked, pulling back as he thought that over. "You think he might be a familiar as well?"
Nic had never mentioned anything of the sort, but then again neither had he. But if Nic was a familiar, then Addison would be in trouble...and to think on it, so would Nic...but well, no harm, no foul maybe? Carol hadn't said he was forbidden to associate with other familiars of other clans unknowingly...
'Did he...have his way with you?'
Addison was sure even the tips of his toes turned red at the bold and personal question from Ellis. "We...are more intimately aquainted than just aquaintences...in that manner. But I became slightly...ill so we didn't do anything...else."
Yeah...definately getting to the same shade of his hair. Addison scooted around on the couch a bit, trying to will away the blush.
Ellis Duban
Resting her arm on the back of the couch, she covered her smile with her fingers. 'No dear,' she said with a grin. Her eyes narrowed on him, how could someone be so naive? She shrugged inwardly and dimissed her immediate thought that this one would even think of knowingly betraying her. However Ellis decided that Addison had used his one chance with her - and that was more than she'd give most underlings.
'Nicolae is a vampire.'
Addison
"Vam....pire...." Voice fading into barely more than a whisper, Addison felt himself going cold suddenly. Oh shit! Shit shit shit fuck shit! He was in deep deep shit now. Carol HAD mentioned not to fool around with vampires...even of Tach...
And...he had felt...slow...cold.....sluggish afterwards, but he'd thought it just normal post coital with a slight cold. "Oh...fuck..." But he'd not seen any new marks and Nic hadn't spent much time in the neck area at all! Although the symptoms were causing some suspicion in his mind...how would that have happened? His neck was mark free sans two little slight faded marks from Ellis...but they were almost invisible to anyone not searching for them.
"I...um...well...at a loss for words. But he called...during the day!"
Ellis Duban
Ellis literally snorted.
Her eyebrows furrowed in slight confusion, he could not seriously think they live in coffins and fall into deep death like slumbers during the day.
'Well, during the day is when I usually get my nails done...it's a little like free play time.' She grinned and leaned back into the couch. 'So I'm guessing by your reaction that he bit you, but you didn't realize it?'
It was possible, she had taken probably a little too much blood from the familiar on their first night together, not too soon after she's got Nicholae the horn dog climbing into his pants, taking even more. She sighed. It would cut into her plans for the week. Hunt, murder, mayhem, raid a compound, kill nicholae, settle down for a cup of tea. If she could squeeze in some play time with Sorin, that would be a fabulous slice of fried gold.
Addison
And...he must have said something stupid again. But it didnt' look like she was going to kill him for..his unknowing slip. Addison looked over towards the vampire movies stacked on his coffee table. "I was planning on using my free weekend for some research on popular ideas of...vampires and try an discern fact from fiction, I suppose."
Did he sound like a newb?...probably.
'So I'm guessing by your reaction that he bit you, but you didn't realize it?'
"I don't know how he could have. I didnt' see any marks on my neck after...but I was pretty...erm...focused on one thing."
The thought that he could have been bitten anywhere else didn't even enter into his mind.
"Although....it's strange. It seemed very very important that I act upon erm...my thoughts then, but when I saw him at the party..."
Addison trailed off. He'd not felt that red hot spike of desire and urge to find the nearest private space that he'd felt the first time they'd met. He still felt Nic extremely attractive, however...quite.. Following that train of thought, addison blushed momentarily again.
Ellis Duban
Her grin fell. That asshole used suggestion on him and vampires with suggestion were...
Something in Ellis snapped and she grabbed Addison by the shoulder, applying pressure. 'Are you telling me that an Evenhet used suggestion on you to get you to do what he wanted?'
She squeezed Addison's shoulder, knowing full well it would leave a nasty looking bruise in the shape of her hand. This Nicholae must be a new little Evenhet minion.
Alfarinn.
Ellis' temper flared thinking of the blonde prissy elder of Evenhet. She sighed dramatically. This really was going to cut into her week.
Addison
AH! Blue eyes widened suddenly as Ellis grabbed ahold of his shoulder and squeezed just shy of painful. Maybe he WAS going to die after all...cause the smile was totally gone at this point. Addison quickly thought if he'd left his laptop on upstairs or not...
'Are you telling me that an Evenhet used suggestion on you to get you to do what he wanted?'
"I..."
At this point, hand gripping his shoulder squeezed harder and he yelped loudly, trying unsuccessfully to jerk away from the tightening grip. "Yes....no...perhaps..."
He winced and forced himself still to keep from trying to pull back again. "I don't know what that is. He did suggest dinner and that I show him my town house..."
Was that what she was looking for? Something told him it wasn't. He REALLY needed to sit down with Carol and get more information from her.
Ellis Duban
She felt the tingle in her fangs and knew if she fed off of Addison now, she'd kill him. Her anger was building up her blood lust and she'd have to take it out on someone fairly quickly. She could only imagine how she looked to him right now.
Ellis released her grip on Addison's shoulder and smiled at his delicate neck. The pulsing artery underneath his pale skin was thumping loudly in her ears. No, biting him now would be bad. She pulled her eyes away from his neck and looked into his eyes.
'If you would be so kind to give me any information on his whereabouts, Addison, I would greatly appreciate it.'
Addison
The accountant let out a short little sigh as his "boss lady" let go of his arm. The opposite hand came up and massaged the offended body part lightly, nervous at the look that was currently on her face. It was...worrying him and rather scary, if he were completely honest. Addison tried his very best not to make any noises as he gingerly worked the sore area that was sure to bruise very soon.
'If you would be so kind to give me any information on his whereabouts, Addison, I would greatly appreciate it.'
She wanted to find Nic? That did not bode well for the other man. And, while Addison didn't like the fact that he might have been manipulated, he didn't want serious harm to befall him. Granted, he might have felt differently if he wouldn't have been interested in Nic to begin with. "I am not 100% sure. I met Nic at the museum - he liked art. We went to the Hotel and he mentioned he had a room there temporarily...but if he's in...Evenhall...wouldn't he be there, then? If he's not human, he might not have need for his own space outside of the clan..."
Addison was feeling foolish now. He went on and on about the townhouses and real estate...and for what? Nic was a vampire...in a clan. Why would he need housing? Answer: he didn't and addison was just now realizing his complete naivete.
"Am I..."
In trouble? Going to get detention? The red head let that question drop, unsure of how to properly word it.
Ellis Duban
Ellis narrowed her eyes and tilted her head at him.
'In trouble? No.' She reached out and ran her fingers through his hair. The tingling in her fangs had slowly started to throb. She'd have to leave now or he would be. 'No, darlin. He took advantage of you, but don't worry, I'll take care of him.' She twirled a lock of red hair with her finger. 'And no, I won't be killing him...not yet anyway.' Ellis reached out and pinched his cheek softly.
'I have to leave now,' she pulled her hand back and tapped her fang. 'Mommy's hungry.' She gave him and wink and stood up off the couch. 'Nic knew what he had done when you introduced him to us at the Ball. It's inevitable, dearest.' She refrained from giving him a kiss and created more distance between him and her throbbing hunger as she turned towards the door.
Ellis opened the door and then blew him a kiss as she exited.
((OOC - She's walking out, pending reply just in case you wanted to add something else. ))
Addison
It was reliving to know that he wasn't to be punished for it, but still....he was irked at his own ignorance of the vampire abilities and that he was so easily swept up into anything. It was slightly infuriating and Addison was just getting stressed out about it. Well....nothing he could do now and Ellis was taking care of things.
He smiled and nodded. If he'd felt that bad after Nic supposedly....well, Addison still had his doubts about being bitten by the handsome fella who he'd picked up at the museum. But he would feel worse after Ellis fed off of him, even after some time has passed already. So, Addison blew his "boss lady" a kiss back and once she had left, grabbed the first movie and stuck it in: Interview with the Vampire.
(OOC: kk. Leaving it open in case anyone else wants to stop in. The door is still open, I am assuming.)
Jan
Jan passed Ellis in the hall and raised his eyebrows at her but kept walking. He got the impression that disturbing her at the moment was asking for trouble. Of course, he could just be a little jumpy but one learned that paranoid was better than dead on the streets.
Coming to an open door, he peeked his head in to see if she'd left some act of carnage in her wake or was on her way to create one. Jan's estimation was that it was either one of the other with Ellis, there was rarely an in between. Got to respect that, she goes all out.
Seeing Addison sitting in front of the television, he smiled and walked into the room.
"So Ellis in a good mood or a not so good mood, do you think?"
Jan came over and sat down on the couch, raising his eyebrow at the movie, he smirked and turned to the redhead.
"Interview with a vampire? Good movie, there's some hot guys in it. Not very many chicks but then Anne doesn't seem as interested in those. So are you watching this for information or the eye candy?"
Addison
"So Ellis in a good mood or a not so good mood, do you think?"
Addison looked up at the young...wait...young looking man standing next to the couch. Letting go of his shirt collar from where he was tugging it away to take a look at the abused skin on his shoulder. Well, he would have been looking at it if Louis weren't on the screen. Addison was almost certain he was close to drooling.
"Oh! Jan...right? Probably a little bit of both."
He smiled and shrugged before offering the Tacharian a seat. "And as for the movie...a little bit of both again."
Addison paused to look over and watch Louis say something to Lestat. Damn, but that actor guy was very easy on the eyes. "A fan of Rice? I am trying to...do a little independent research, but the eye candy is indeed a plus."
"oh,but I forget my manners. Would you like anything to drink?"
Jan
Jan pondered a moment and then said.
"Hmm probably a good thing I'm in here then, a pissed off Ellis is something to avoid at all costs if you can help it."
He wondered what was wrong with Addison's shoulder. Did Ellis bite him? She might have, him being a new familiar and all. Turning back to the movie, he answered with a shrug
"Some of her stuff is interesting and she certainly paints a hot...if inaccurate, picture of vampires. Still got it more right than a lot of people which always made me wonder if perhaps she knew more than she should. She's made us pretty popular and its not quite true so I guess they let her live."
Watching the eye candy for a moment, he turned back at the offer of something to drink. Smiling slowly at the redhead with an expression akin to a lazy predator who just had dinner walk in on him, he paused before grinning out right.
"That is quite a tempting offer...but I don't think Ellis would appreciate me accepting my drink of choice. If you happen to have some wine though, that would be great. "
Alec Devereaux
Walking back through the Domicile, Alec noticed an open door along the hallway. "That's odd...I don't think I've seen someone leave their door open here..." Approaching the door silently, he extended his senses. Oh. Movies. Cool. Popping his head into the room, he said
What's all this now? Domicile movie night? Tacharan Gentleman's Club? And me still in my work clothes. Thought I'd pop my head in and see if everything was ok - never seen a door open around here.
Absynthe Domnivoy
Absynthe had been heading to her own quarters when she spotted someone standing half in and half out of a doorway. A slow grin crossed her face. Boy toys were so much fun to play with, and this one appeared to be distracted. With a practiced use of blending and subterfuge, she came up behind the man.
"Indecisive much?"
Smiling she walked past the man to lean on the door frame. She nodded a brief greeting to the other two before noticing what was playing on the television.
"Ah, Louis the Whiny Vampire. The only thing that keeps one from wanting to find the actor and drain him after watching this movie is that he has a nice ass."
Absynthe would have reached around and pinched the Indecisive fellow's ass and told him she approved, but she figured she should probably give a name first.
Alec Devereaux
At the sound of the voice, Alec nearly started, but the implications overrode surprise. Another silent stalker in the family. Nice.
Ah...I wasn't quite sure if the invitation extended to those still in work clothes. Wouldn't want to stain the furniture. Perhaps I'll pop by later.
He was pretty sure that there was some sort of unspoken social rule about not engaging in first meetings with oil and other people's blood on you. Heading back to his new room, Alec would wash up and pop back if time permitted.
((ooc: Alec out to wash up ))
Addison
Addison was so tempted to ask Jan which parts were right and which were wrong. But, the other vampire might be put out for being asked as it was probably Ellis' or Carol's job to make sure he was properly taught these things. He just hadn't had time to ask without sounding foolish. Granted, the ignorance thing was far worse.
"Maybe she was a familiar?"
That was a possiblility more than she was, herself, a vampire. After all, he'd seen a couple of different pictures of Anne Rice and she's aged, albeit well, but she's not the same as the first in the second. He supposed that could be the effect of lighting or make up, but it was very slight that she was a vampire. More like a familiar or human friend who knows a bit. Interesting that she was allowed to publish at all then.
"That is quite a tempting offer...but I don't think Ellis would appreciate me accepting my drink of choice. If you happen to have some wine though, that would be great. "
Blue eyes widened and a slight pink overtook his cheeks as he realized how his offer must have come across to Jan's kind. "I...um....didn't mean that..."
He stood suddenly, trying to get over the fluster. "And, yes, I have some dry wine, if that will do."
Addison was standing and still berating himself for his word choice when he saw another guy standing in the doorway. He was...familiar...and covered in...well, stuff that Addison would not want on his carpet. The accountant smiled politely, but before he could offer the guy some wine, there was yet another figure at the door. This must be the most people that have ever been in his quarters at once...ever.
"Ah, Louis the Whiny Vampire. The only thing that keeps one from wanting to find the actor and drain him after watching this movie is that he has a nice ass."
"I don't know...he's got sexy lips as well...."
Addison said in response, looking over his shoulder and looking at Louis as he looked to be sampling some wildlife. "Please, come in and make yourself comfortable. I am about to get some wine if either of you would like a glass?"
And then the other guy...the familiar looking one with the name addison couldn't quite remember was leaving. He smiled and echoed a, "You are welcome to"
before heading into the kitchen and pouring himself some wine and grabbing a couple more glasses and started pouring.
(OOC: Wasn't sure if Ab would want some wine or not, but he'll pour an extra glass or anything she wants to drink)
Jan
Thinking on Anne Rice for a moment, he nodded.
"Yeah, she could be. I suppose that might make a bit of sense. Obviously likes vampires enough to write a lot about them and some of her stuff come awful close. Of course, even shooting in the dark you're likely to hit something a few times, right?"
Jan had to grin at the delightful blush that crept across Addison's features. Damn but that would be a fun past time, Ellis was a lucky wench.
"That would be great."
Turning to see Alec with his head in the doorway, Jan smiled.
"Yeah, well that's because open doors are too much of a temptation for us, Tacharan. Case in point..."
He raised his eyebrows as the lovely white haired woman snuck up behind Alec. Another Tacharan drawn by the temptation of an open entry way.. or perhaps in this case attempting to surprise the hell out of Alec.
"Yep, Louis of the nice ass but to be fair to the actor, Louis in the book was a whiner also."
Jan's eyes sparked with mischief as Alec left.
"Couldn't handle the conversation, poor guy. Did you pinch him?"
He turned back to the movie with half his attention but sat up straighter on the couch in order to make more room, not that he'd been taking up a lot of it but he tended to slouch like the teenager he appeared to be.
Absynthe Domnivoy
Absynthe nodded politely and smiled at the red head's offer. She could see no reason not to accept the offer of wine. there did not appear to be any power plays or ego boosting about it, and it certainly didn't cost her a dime.
"A glass of wine would be lovely thank you. Absynthe by the way."
She smiled wryly at the statement. Absynthe had gathered many aliases over the years. When she was feeling particularly charming, she delighted in giving a different one each time she saw the same person again. It was her true name she gave this time. Her mother had clearly had a wicked sense of humor. The mention of her name, when she bothered to give the real one, usually elicited confusion and occasionally pity. It occurred to her that placing her name at the end of her sentence might add to the mental disruption.
"That would be my name, not something I would like in my drink."
she eyed the one on the sofa suspiciously for a moment. Had he somehow managed to tell what she had considered doing to the now duely departed? Absynthe allowed herself a small grin before taking a seat.
"Not this time, but he did say he might come back."
Addison
Addison puttered around in the kitchen, locating the rather art deco looking wine opening device he'd found just a few days ago while walking to his other residence. He poured three glasses of the red liquid, then balanced two between fingers on one hand and grabbed the other, heading back to where Jan and Absynthe were seated.
"Not this time, but he did say he might come back."
He handed the light haired woman a glass. "The man in his...'work clothes?'"
He'd looked filthy from what Addison had seen, just sitting on the couch, but he supposed that was to be normal...not everyone could be number crunchers.
"Here you go..."
The red head smiled and doled out the remaining glass. "What have I missed?"
(OOC: Sorry so long to post....end of term rushing about made harder by the fact I missed a week while in fla. ack!)
Jan
Jan reached up for one of the glasses Addison carried.
"Thank you... and not much.. more whining, more looking sexy."
He looked over at Absynthe and smiled.
"And plans to pinch Alec when he returns. Good call on waiting until he's showered."
Jan had shrugged about Alec and his work clothes; he'd never asked the new Tacharan what he did, which in this clan, could be just about anything.
Absynthe Domnivoy
Absynthe took the glass of wine. Passing it under her nose, she smiled in approval.
"Thank You"
Absynthe watched the movie with a bemused smile, while the recap was being made. Even more amusing was the mention of ass pinching. Alec, was that his name?
"Well, I am not overly fond of blood and guts under my nails. It's bad for the manicure. I am holding out hope that that ass will look even better later. Although, that ass clean and wet has definate possiblities."
Absynthe grinned into her glass before taking a sip.
"Good wine by the way."
Addison
"Thank you... and not much.. more whining, more looking sexy."
Addison smiled and flushed before he realized Jan was talking about the movie. 'Great way to jump to hear only what you want to...' he chided himself as he sat back down, sipping from his wine glass and focusing on the television.
The two other clan members were talking about the fella...the one with the soiled clothing. Addison didn't know him ...or, really anyone. He supposed he should probably try and get around and at least introduce himself to the other clan members...it would help his ability to recognize clan members from non and maybe save himself some embaressment later on.
"Good wine by the way."
"Oh, thank you. I'm a sucker for red wine myself...wine and movies are an excellent way to relax."
(OOC: Sorry for the silence. Addison was watching the event avidly and not been paying much attention to his own posts)
Absynthe Domnivoy
Absynthe smiled and nodded at the comment about relaxing.
"Pinching a naked wet ass has its benefits too. Though in general, I tend to play the piano when I need to relax or think."
Absynthe comptemplated the ass for another moment, wondering if she would see it again. The next question was whether or not it belonged to anyone. She gave a mental shrug, that particular issue had never bothered her before, and was not likely to now either. She generally enjoyed the game a bit more when there were obstacles. Jealousy was by far one of her favorite human traits. Cheerleaders, dancers, librarians, jealous humans were easy to manipulate. Absynthe turned to the dark haired man.
" What about you?"
Jan
Jan arched an eyebrow at Addison's blush but chalked it up to the wine and Brad Pitt. The man did seem to blush easily though but then the last time Jan had seen him, Addison was wearing a furisode, not that he could have said much about that being in tights as he was.
Naked.. he should definitely try going to the next party in the buff. That way they have something to stare at and comment on with good reason. It would be comfortable too and he wouldn't have to worry about not matching or being too formal for the party.
Nodding his agreement about the red wine, Jan then listened to Absynthe's explanation of what she did to relax. He nodded sagely to this as well.
"Personally I don't find ass pinching relaxing. Certain parts of me find it very un-relaxing but the actions that it would hopefully lead towards -those- tend to have a sort of calming effect on me...once they are done."
He took a sip of his wine and then considered the other method she spoke of.
"Playing the piano can be many things, relaxing is certainly one of them. There is something in music for any mood and the motion on the keys is soothing."
He turned back to the redhead and asked.
Do you play an instrument, Addison?"
Alexandra
Very new to the domicile Alex was doing some exploring trying to NOT get lost when she heared voices coming from a room, stopping she considered her options.. she hadn't met anyone there yet, true she was a loner, she had been on her own for years (if not centuries).. but it would be kind of nice to meet her fellow clan memebers.
Walking closer to the door she bit her bottom lip, almost drawing blood as her left fang scrapped across the glossy surface, spotting two men and a woman sitting inside she softly cleared her troath.
Tugging a strand of hair behind her ear she produced a little smile before she spoke up.
"Hi.. umm yeah, I'm Alexandra.. I'm new here"
Feeling very uncomfortable she looked down at her feet for a moment, tugging another strand of hair behind her ear before looking back up, her nearly black eyes shifting from one person to another and back hoping she wasn't intruding.
((ooc, hope i'm not intruding)
Addison
All this talk of pinching arses was going to make Addison start giggling soon. It certainly didn't feel like a conversation he would have with two other vampires, but he supposed they were people too...or were at one time. It was certainly amusing to listen to absynthe and Jan talk, so he contented himself with that and trying to discern vampire habits as he sipped his wine. He wanted to be less....ignorant of his other clan members to impress Ellis.
"Do you play an instrument, Addison?"
"Hmm..."
It took a second to remember, as he'd not played since he was in school. "I played the violin in school. My parents felt that an instrument would give character and look good on the college resume. Although...I haven't played since I graduated, so it wasn't a big interest of mine, just another requirement growing up."
"Hi.. umm yeah, I'm Alexandra.. I'm new here"
The red head turned to the new voice and saw a dark haired woman standing in the doorway. Granted, he didn't know everyone in the clan yet, so if she'd not just stated that she was new, he would have never known. "Please, come in. Nice to meet you, Alexandra. I'm Addison and this is Jan and Absynthe."
He nodded towards the others, playing a little bit like the host, since it was his room. "Did you want something to drink?"
Alexandra
"Please, come in. Nice to meet you, Alexandra. I'm Addison and this is Jan and Absynthe." He nodded towards the others, playing a little bit like the host, since it was his room.
Smiling a little wider Alex stepped into the room as Addison invited her in, as he gestured towards the others she smiled at them her dark eyes sparkling in the light.
"Did you want something to drink?"
Shifting her eyes back to Addison as he spoke to her she nodded her head slowly making her way over to where they were sitting.
"I would love to"
Giving him a warm smile she took a seat next to him, crossing her slender legs at the knee she made herself comfortable while she waited for him to get her a drink.
Jan
Jan smiled at Addison and shrugged.
"I suppose not everyone can be musically talented or find it interesting enough to continue. Some time you'll have to tell me what music you like though. "
He got up and headed towards the kitchen and put away his empty glass. There was a new face at the door and Jan smiled at her.
"Welcome to Addison's humble abode. You can take my place. I need to get myself ready for the upcoming 'event'."
He smiled at the other two and blew a kiss at Louis before heading towards the door.
"It was good chatting with you both. We should do movie night again."
Jan headed down the corridors to his own apartment in order to get his things together for the upcoming raid.
((OOC: Hey! welcome to Tacharan. This thread was started prior to the raid and I have some things to do with Jan post raid so I did not want to have him lingering and falling behind. Will have to catch up with you later some time. ))
Alexandra
As one of the others smiled at her and spoke Alex smiled back.
"Welcome to Addison's humble abode. You can take my place. I need to get myself ready for the upcoming 'event'."
"Thank you, glad to meet you"
Turning back to Addison she looked him over for a moment, Alexandra studied people.. it was wath she did, she was a quiet person, very much to herself, her books keeping her company, looking away she took in her suroundings, the room had a cossy feel to it.
Absynthe Domnivoy
Absynthe had been content with herown musings and listening to the two men discuss music. She looked up as one came in and the other prepared to leave. Addison really should look into shutting the door, anyone could just walk in.She grinned in amusement and then nodded a farewell to the parting guest.
" Good luck with that event. Don't have too much fun."
Absynthe turned and watched the new girl for a moment. Angelica was new to the party and new to the clan. Nothing like fresh cannon fodder to brighten a girl's day. She smiled, the picture of warmth and kindness. As had become a habit, Absynthe cloaked herself in her ability of subterfuge, masking her true thoughts and emotions.
" Welcome to the clan. Let me know if you need any assistance getting settled."
Addison
Addison hopped up and headed into the kitchen just as Jan was leaving. He watched the young looking male leave before fixing Alexandra's wine for her. The red head suddenly wished he'd remembered his own glass to top off. Oh well...that was fine. Too much and he got sleepy and he probably shouldn't in this company. Although, he was in clan territory, so he should be perfectly safe. Absynthe seemed very nice and this new woman...could be as well.
"Here you go, Alexandra." he took his seat again and smiled. "New to Tach?"
Alexandra
" Welcome to the clan. Let me know if you need any assistance getting settled."
Looking up Alex studied the woman who spoke to her for a moment, nodding her head a small smile crept upon her lips, it didn't reach her eyes, she didn't trusth anyone that easily.
"Thank you"
"Here you go, Alexandra." he took his seat again and smiled. "New to Tach?"
Taking her glass from Addison she gave him another smile, inhaling the scent of the wine she closed her eyes for a moment before taking a small sip, letting the rich red liquid move around her mouth she let is touch all her tastebuts for opening her eyes back up.
"Thank you, this is a really nice wine and yes I just got here thoday to be exact, still trying to find my way around"
Pausing she took another small sip of her glass before putting it down on the table in front of her, turning back to Addison she moved a lock of hair behind her ear.
"How about you?"
Addison
Addison finished his wine, thinking of how to answer properly. He was Tach, but not a tach vampire...but he still counted as a member, or at least he thought. "I've been here a few months. I am the CFO over at Dubine and familiar belonging to Ellis." It seemed that the practice saying that out loud in front of the mirror helped. And he didn't want any more slip ups with other vampires.
"Have you met with her yet?" He knew they had some sort of club activity coming up that night, so maybe not yet...
(OOC: Ack - I could have sworn I posted this earlier...)
Absynthe Domnivoy
Absynthe swirled the wine in her glass before taking a sip. It had long been a habit of hers to nurse a drink over an extended period of time. It was always good to let one's companions have a few more drinks to each one of yours. Assasinations tended to go much smoother this way.Looking over at the cute young red head she smiled.
" Familiar is it? Well snacking is out, but what about insincere flirting?"
With that, she gave Addison a wink and blew him a kiss. Absynthe looked over at the television for a moment. Louis was whiney and Lestat was looking moronic. Yep the middle of the movie was pretty much like the first. Returning her attention to the others, she answered Addison's question.
" I myself have not had the occasion to meet her. Unfortunately I will not be able to at the coming gathering. I will not be attending the event as I will be otherwise occupied."
Alexandra
Listening to Addison speak, Alex nodded her head a few times indicating she was listening to his story, when he mentioned being a familiar her eyes widened slightly, picking up her glass she took another small sip, twisting the stem inbetween her fingers she shifted her eyes as Absynthe began to speak to him.
"My my isn't she the flirt"
Raising her glass to her lips she smirked behind it inhaling the flavour of the wine before setting it back down, turning to Addison she softly spoke.
"So you're human.. that has to be strange living among so many vampires"
Raising an eyebrow she let her tongue dart out for a moment wetting her lips, as she did her left fang was clearly visible, she would never hurt Addison she knew how the whole familiar thing worked, watching him her eyes darkened.
Someone once told her, her eyes were so dark brown they appeared black, at times the pupil wasn't even visible, especially when she was hungry or angry, right now it was the first, realizing it had been some time since she last ate she took a deep breath before getting up.
"If you two will excuse me, Addison it was nice to meet you"
Turning to Absynthe she nodded towards the other woman.
"Nice meeting you too, see you both around"
Exiting the room she headed up, looking for a snack.. something warm and red ;)
((ooc. Alexandra out))
Addison
" Familiar is it? Well snacking is out, but what about insincere flirting?"
Addison cracked a rare smile. "Flirting always welcome."
He flashed an answering wink, feeling a little of the wine loosening him up. That, and he was in a room with beautiful women...sure each of them could rip him apart and/or drain him dry, but that wasn't mattering at the moment. He had protection from ellis.
"So you're human.. that has to be strange living among so many vampires"
"It's a learning experience. And to be honest, if I look at someone, I still can't tell the difference right off...."
He was referring to the Nic incident, but they wouldn't know that.
"If you two will excuse me, Addison it was nice to meet you"
"A pleasure to meet you as well."
The red headed accountant stood as the other woman left and then took his seat again.
" I myself have not had the occasion to meet her. Unfortunately I will not be able to at the coming gathering. I will not be attending the event as I will be otherwise occupied."
"You'll have to find the occassion. She's...quite the person."
Ooh...silly smile on his face. He hoped it wasn't out of place for a familiar.
Absynthe Domnivoy
Absynthe watched Angelica leave. True that wasn't the girl's name, but it was also true that Absynthe had no particular reason to remember it. Addison on the other hand was the familiar to Ellis. Ellis in turn was the provider of all the lovely poisons that she got play with on a daily basis. It would stand to reason then that Addison would be quite the useful human to know. With a bemused expression she turned to Addison and gave an exagerated sigh.
" It seems that I am scaring all your guests away. And I didn't even consider pinching her on the ass. I really should start getting the pinching in earlier before the prey has a chance to escape."
Finishing the last of her wine, Absynthe smiled at her host before excusing herself long enough to take the glass to the kitchen. She did not return to her seat, knowing that she too had things to take care of.
" As much as I would love to stay and oggle his whineness with you, I am afraid I really must go. I have a cauldron brewing and a broom that needs mending. A girl's work is never done."
Remembering the boldness of his earlier wink, she gave him another one before walking out the door. Addison would be quite fun to play with when he was eventually turned. That was assuming Ellis didn't decide to drain him instead.
OOC: Absynthe out.
Addison
Addison smiled up at Absinthe before she left. He stretched out languidly on the couch before getting up and shutting his door...rouding into the kitchen to grab the bottle of wine. He might as well finish it off and get some good rest in in the process...
