He had originally went out for something to eat. That's it. Nothing more. Instead he spent the last week or so meeting what he was fairly sure was a very small vampire, getting kidnapped, getting shot at (rather successfully), injected with vampire blood and revived, met a very pissed off, crispy vampire lady, survive a burning inferno, rescue another vampire, become addicted to said vampire blood, go through the worst withdrawls...EVER, fight with a vampire, fall in love with said vampire, go to a ball, be blown up at a ball and then finally check his mail.
When Kyle opened his mail box in the lobby of his building, his mail flew out and spilled onto the floor. With a sigh, he slowly picked up said mail and headed towards the elevator.
His tuxedo was now damp from the fire hoses and gray from the ash. He caught a reflection of it as he passed the high polished entry way into the bank of elevators. Standing next to a few people who looked at him oddly, he smiled and waved politely.
The elevator ride up was uneventual, to which Kyle was most grateful and as he pushed opened the door to his apartment, threw the mail onto the floor and tripped on some boxes he still needed to unpack. Finding his remote for the blinds, he opened them up, letting in the rising red sun.
Just then he yawned, realizing how tired he was. Stripping off his tuxedo he made his way down the hallway and up the stairs to his shower.
