Simon reached up and pinched his lips softly as he read the note from Mathias. Apparently the wary clansman was leaving. Gingerly he slid the note into his desk and reflected the past several months turn of events. He wasn't sure to be worried about more about the arrival of challengers or the disappearance of one who so obviously did not trust him.

Simon would wait and see.
